My favorite season of colored leaves, soft knit sweaters, and pumpkin patches.
By Far, the Best Season
There's nothing better than the crisp, cool smell of autumn as the vibrant colored leaves fall in front of your feet, crumbling into the ground. The way a heavy knitted sweater wraps around your body, as if hugging you from all angles while also making you look cute af. There is nothing better than the feeling of fall.
Perfect Time to Read & Write
Not only is the weather perfect to sit out in nature and enjoy the bright sun, but it's also a great time to crack open a new book that's been sitting on your shelf!
Expressing my thoughts through writing brings me so much joy, especially during seasonal changes. Take a few moments every day to write down your ideas, whether in a journal or on a computer. I beleive this to be a great way in not only improving your daily motivation but to practice the depths of your own creativity. Here is a small poem I wrote some time ago while watching the falling leaves; the uncomplicated act of writing brings clarity to my thoughts and helps me be thankful for fall when summer comes to an end.
Thankful for Fall
Trees are lush
Grass is green
Sun is bright
and the water’s breeze
Things will change
We’ll all know
In that time
before the snow
Leaves will fall
Grass will die
Just as the sun starts to hide
Life will freeze except our own
So we’ll show thanks to all that we know.
Book Bunnies!
Starting a book club is a great way to get back into reading while staying social with friends. My annual club, Book Bunnies, met for the first time this year to discuss the beginning of The Paris Apartments by Lucy Foley. This can be an amazing way to reignite your love for reading while getting to experience the story with your friends. Whether it's over tea and under cozy blankets, or out having fun at a pumpkin patch, there are no limits to the activities you can do to bring friends together over books.
If you want to keep up with the latest reads and discussions in my book club, make sure to sign up as an online member by visiting the book club section on my homepage!
